
Travel between all 3 locations is required. Assists with scheduling surgical procedures. Maintains exam rooms, including cleaning/sterilization of instruments as necessary. Educates patients on ophthalmic conditions and consents patients for procedures and surgery. Runs diagnostic tests such as biometry, FA/OCT scans, and visual fields. Performs dilation when appropriate and safe to do so. Performs visual acuity, auto-refraction, Goldmann tonometry and other standard ophthalmic evaluations on patients. Obtains patient history through intake assessments. Welcome patients and visitors in a positive, friendly manner. You must also be able to demonstrate your ability to perform complete patient work-ups using standard ophthalmic equipment, instruments, and techniques. You must be able to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
